About Us

A brief History...

Christopher Migliaccio purchased Thorsten's Boat Yard in
1944 and renamed it Port Edgewood. Within a few months,
he became a sales representative for the Owens Yacht Co.
handling accounts in both Massachusetts and Rhode Island.
He got the idea to build a showroom where boat yard owners
could put their boats on display with his. His dream became
a realty at the close of WW II and the showroom was built.

Ownership changed hands again in 1980 and the facility
was expanded, including the manufacture of Don Aronow
designed Banana Boats, to its' current configuration.

Today's Marina...

Port Edgewood and its' sister marina, Pawtuxet Cove, offer the
boating community nearly 250 seasonal and transient slips with
dockside security, showers, washer/dryer, gasoline and Biodiesel
fuel docks, and a pump-out station. The marina is staffed by Mercury CERTIFIED technicians servicing MerCruiser Stern Drives, Inboards, Mercury Outboards & Mercury Inflatables.
